May we point your awarenes to this great event and opportunity? On july 2nd and 3rd the legendary Roskilde Festival will host a so called MASTERCLASS on the topic

“Trash or Treasure”.
How can festivals and cities ensure a sustainable waste management? And how do we motivate (festival) citizens to support this?

Roskilde Festival invites you to attend this masterclass on sustainable waste management taking place in the middle of the festival. As a temporary city with 130,000 inhabitants, Roskilde Festival has some of the same waste issues as other large cities. In this masterclass Roskilde Festival and the City of Copenhagen will focus on how to handle waste as a resource.

Wednesday 2 July / 9.00-17.00 (this is the day before the main festival starts)
Masterclass: Euro 241 incl. VAT (+ DKK 20 fee) / DKK 1800 incl. VAT (+ DKK 20 fee)

Tickets include lunch and access to Roskilde Festival on Wednesday 2 July & Brunch on Thursday 3 July. Accommodation is not included.

The masterclass includes

  • Speaks focused on identifying the challenges of waste management asking: How do we measure sustainability initiatives and behaviour at European festivals? What can cities learn from festivals and the other way around?
  • Presentations of new academic research, technologies and products
  • A panel debate on the issue: How do we motivate sustainable waste behaviour in the city?
  • Voice of the (festival) citizens – how do they experience sustainable waste behaviour?
  • A field trip to Roskilde Festival’s campsite to demonstrate the waste sorting system used by the participants
